Motorhome rental for the Maresme coast, from Mataró to Calella
From Mataró and the southern Maresme, our base next to Granollers is roughly 25–35 minutes by car, over the coastal hills on the C-60; from Calella, Pineda or Malgrat, allow about 40–50 minutes. You collect the motorhome inland, away from the N-II traffic, and within minutes you are on the AP-7 heading north.
Getting here from the coast
From Mataró and the southern Maresme the most direct route is the C-60, which crosses the Serralada Litoral coastal range at Argentona to Granollers; from there, our base in Corró d'Avall is a few minutes away. Allow about 25–35 minutes. From the northern Maresme (Calella, Pineda, Malgrat) your sat nav may suggest other routes using the C-32 and AP-7 depending on the time of day; allow about 40–50 minutes. There is no direct train: the R1 runs along the coast and the R2 inland, so driving is the practical choice.
Leave your car and skip the coastal parking hunt
Parking a 6.66 m motorhome on Maresme streets, especially in summer, is not easy. That is why it makes sense to collect and return it at the Segimon Rental base and leave your car in our car park while you travel, subject to availability; just tell us when you book. If you would rather get a lift, the drive up the C-60 is short. Pick-up is by appointment in the afternoon and return in the morning.
Heading north without crawling along the coast
If you live by the sea, you might fancy the opposite: the Montseny, about 40 minutes from the base, a step beyond the Montnegre and Corredor hills you see from home. If you want a different coastline, the Costa Brava starts an hour away on the AP-7, avoiding the N-II town crossings; beyond it lie the Empordà, Cap de Creus and the French border. The Pyrenees are an hour and a half up the C-17. From 7 days, mileage is unlimited.
Beach, bikes and paddleboard on board
The motorhome comes with an awning, outdoor shower and bike rack, which is exactly what a coves-and-beaches trip calls for: rinse off the salt before stepping in and keep the sand outside. You can add e-bikes or a paddleboard as extras, and the lithium battery with solar panel gives you room to spend the day off-grid, although how long it lasts depends on your usage. For nights, use campsites and authorised areas; on the coast in summer, book ahead.

Frequently asked questions
01How long is the drive from Mataró to the pick-up point?
About 25–35 minutes by car via the C-60 to Granollers, depending on traffic. From the northern Maresme (Calella, Pineda, Malgrat), about 40–50 minutes; follow the route your sat nav suggests.
02Can I get there by train from the Maresme?
There is no direct train: the R1 runs along the coast and the R2 goes through Granollers, so you would have to change in Barcelona. It is usually far easier to drive and leave your car in our car park (subject to availability).
03Can you deliver the motorhome to Mataró?
No. Pick-up and return are always at our base in Corró d'Avall (Les Franqueses del Vallès), next to Granollers, by appointment.
04Can I sleep in the motorhome right by the sea?
Parking wherever any vehicle may park is legal as long as you are not camping (no awning, chairs or levelling chocks out, no emptying water). Wild camping is generally not permitted in Catalonia and many coastal towns have their own by-laws, so a campsite or authorised motorhome area is the way to go.
05Can I hire bikes or a paddleboard?
Yes, as extras: e-bike at €35/day or €150/week and paddleboard at €15/day or €60/week. The bike rack is included.
