What the motorhome already includes
A well-equipped rental motorhome saves you half a suitcase. At Segimon Rental, every rental includes, at no extra cost, the essentials for cooking, eating outdoors, hooking up to mains power and keeping the vehicle clean.
You also get the Smart TV, reversing camera, CarPlay / Android Auto, heating and hot water, indoor and outdoor shower, and the lithium battery with solar panel. There is no need to bring any of this.
- Full kitchen kit: crockery, cutlery, glasses, pots and pans.
- Outdoor table and chairs.
- Awning and bike rack.
- CEE electric cable and adaptors.
- Hose and adaptors for filling up with water.
- Levelling chocks.
- Basic cleaning kit.
- Chemical toilet products.
- Gas bottles full at handover.
Travel light: weight and space matter
The motorhome has a maximum authorised mass of 3,500 kg, the limit that allows it to be driven on a car licence. That limit covers the vehicle, passengers, luggage, bikes, water and gas, so it is not something to load up like a storage unit.
Water is the heaviest item: each litre weighs roughly a kilo and the tank holds 116 litres. If you know you can fill up at your destination, set off with it half full. And cut back where you can: fewer clothes, fewer tins, fewer "just in case" items.
As for space, soft bags and rucksacks fit cupboards far better than hard suitcases, which also take up room when empty. Heavy items go low down, in the rear locker or lower cupboards, never in the overhead lockers.
Clothes, bedding and bathroom
Pack comfortable clothes you can layer: in a motorhome you can go from a hot beach to a cool mountain evening in a few hours. Add a waterproof jacket, comfortable walking shoes, flip-flops for campsite showers and a pair of slippers.
Bedding and towels are not included in the base price. You can bring your own (sheets, duvet cover or sleeping bag, pillows, bath and hand towels) or add them as an extra when you book and we will have them ready.
In your wash bag, the usual plus sun cream and insect repellent. For the chemical toilet, it is best to use toilet paper that dissolves easily.
Kitchen and basic supplies
With the kitchen kit included you can cook almost anything; what is missing is the larder. Do a small shop for the first few days and top up along the way: buying food in the villages you pass through is part of the trip.
- Oil, salt, spices and cooking basics.
- Coffee or tea, and your own coffee maker if you are particular (a Nespresso machine is also available as an extra).
- Bottled drinking water, if you prefer.
- Dishcloths, tea towels, kitchen roll and washing-up liquid.
- Bin bags and a spare bag to separate recycling.
- Resealable bags or containers for leftovers.
Documents and small essentials
Some small things make a big difference, and nobody misses them until they are needed. Check them before you leave home.
- Driving licence and ID card or passport for every driver.
- A card for the deposit and your booking confirmation.
- Passports or ID cards for all travellers if you are going to Andorra, which is outside the EU.
- Health insurance card (such as a GHIC or EHIC) and any medication, plus a small first-aid kit.
- A dashboard phone holder and charging cables.
- A torch or head torch for getting around the campsite at night.
- Pegs and a short line to dry swimwear and towels.
Depending on destination and season
For the coast: swimwear, beach towels and, if you like, the beach kit or paddleboard from our extras. For the mountains: boots, a fleece and a hat, even in summer. If you plan to use the bike rack, bring your bikes and a lock, or book e-bikes as an extra.
In winter the motorhome is ready for the cold, with Truma heating and frost protection, but pack warm clothes and consider snow chains, an optional extra, if you will be crossing mountain passes. If you are travelling outside Spain, let us know before collection.
What to leave at home
What you leave behind matters as much as what you pack. Anything you do not use is weight that burns fuel and fills cupboards.
- High-power appliances such as hairdryers or irons: they drain the battery fast.
- Large hard-shell suitcases.
- "Just in case" outfits for every occasion.
- Large amounts of drinks or food you can buy along the way.
- Valuables you will not need on the trip.
Your packing list
Tick off what you already have ready. The list is saved in this browser, so you can come back any time. Things that already come with the motorhome are marked as included: no need to bring them.

Frequently asked questions
What is included in a rental motorhome?
It depends on the company. Ours includes kitchen kit, table and chairs, awning, bike rack, CEE cable and hose with adaptors, levelling chocks, a cleaning kit, toilet products and gas bottles full at handover.
Do I need to bring bedding and towels?
Yes, unless you add them as an extra when booking. Bedding and towels are not included in the base price.
How much luggage fits in a motorhome?
Plenty, but the real limit is weight: the motorhome must not exceed its 3,500 kg maximum authorised mass. Use soft bags, keep heavy items low and do not always travel with a full water tank.
Do I need to bring chemical toilet products?
Not with us: they are included. We just recommend bringing toilet paper that dissolves easily.
